Enricher for a 1997 9.9 Mercury Outboard 4 stroke

I need a part called an enricher - for the carb. on my outboard.

Mercury dealers say the part is obsolete and discontinued...but the motor isn't.

I was told by the dealer that the motor was actually made by Yamaha...

The Merc part no. is 827473T
The Yamaha part no. is 6G8-1410A-01-00

Can anyone tell me whether these parts are the same.

Yes Yamaha did make many motors for Mercury and the Yamaha part number does look to be the same.
