wont stay running

i have a 2001 15hp 2 stroke. it ran fine up til now. it'll start then sometimes idle,but when i put it in gear it spurters and stalls out. i put fresh plugs in this spring and i just replaced all the fuel.any thoughts?

Probably need to remove and clean carb, check condition of inside of fuel lines and filters.
