i have a 25 hp mariner sn 0G033142. i recently changed the prop an was concerned the thrust hub is now not fitting right. on the hub there is a large end and a small end. i have read where the small end id suppossed to slide in the prop with the large end against the carrier assembly, but a guy at merc said the large end is to sit flush on the prop, with the small end going into the carrier assembly. it is a merc prop48-19640A40. im just not sure even exactly how the hub is designed to work in the first place...
