warning light and alarm

I have a 1996 Skeeter SS 140 LX with a 1996 125 HP Mecury (0G394583). As soon as I turn on the key, I have a alarm that goes off and a red light on the dash that comes on? I suspect the low oil senser is the problem? Do you have any information where I might start?

Check oil level of oil in oil tanks, check oil level sensors.

Alarm and light on dash as soon as key is turned on

I have an alarm and red light on the dash that comes on as soon as the key is turned on. The number on the engine is 0G394583, 1996 125 HP mercury which is on 1996 SS140LX Skeeter bass boat.
I have checked the oil level and have replaced the oil level sensor with no success? I have tried to lift the magnetic washer in side the tank and with no results. What else can I do or checked. Does th voltage regulator have anything to do with this. I found a brown wire that appears going to it and as soon as I disconnect, the alarm quits? Thanks for any input. I do not have a wiring schematic.

Probably need to replace warning module.
