I've got a 2 stroke merc 115hp inline (mid-70's) on the back of my houseboat. It idle's beautifully, revs up in neutral, but when you give it full throttle in gear, it winds up for about 15 seconds and then just dies down to a sputter, occaisionally it will completely die and won't start back up for a while (almost like its vapor locked). I have to let it sit for about 20 minutes and prime it. Any advice or help? I was thinking maybe the fuel lines were cracked and sucking in air?

Yes it sounds like it's starving for fuel, check fuel pump, fuel lines, if can run on a different fuel tank to see if improves. If all good clean carbs.Regards
