I have a 1989 140 hp outbourd tring to replace water pump. All the bolts have been removed,I have a slite air gap but cannot get lower unit to drop. Have checked to make sure all bolts have been removed. Six total i think, shifting linkage is loose. Am I missing somthing and if not,any advice on what i should do. THANKS STUCK

Look for a bolt under trim tab, may have to nut back on front side stud and use to pry down on gearcase.
