  • need new prop

:PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!! I Need New prop for my old 1974, 20 hp, 21.9 cu. inch, Mercury outboard, serial number 3880139, model c200, with type "B" carburetor, the exhaust DOES NOT exit through the prop, it exits higher up on the shaft:

I hit a large rock and sheared or turned the rubber hub and now no or very little power, engine runs smooth and sounds good, checked the gears, drained and refilled the lower unit gear lubricant, it was clean and no metal at all , now I need to purchase a new, rebuilt or have this one re-built.
The one that was on the engine when I purchased it several years ago, was an alum. painted black, 3 blade, 11" pitch, 9 1/4" dia. + or -, rubber center hub with 8 splines.the front dia. is 3" and tapers to 2 5/8" in the rear, it measures 4 1/8" front to back. I found a number inside the hub, it was hard to read but I think it was 48-86962-9 and on the outside of the hub there was stamped 9p and 44 but not sure of that either as it is very faint. I have looked on the web and found a 2 blade prop that they said was on this engine when new, I just wonder how the performance of that would be compared to th 3 blade I now have? The 3 blade works well for fishing and running from point to point, I hate to loose that. I would like to get a new prop and have the old one rebuilt. Does anyone know where I could get that done and if a new 3 blade prop which matches the old 3 blade one is available?
Thanks for any help you can give an old fisherman, it will be appreciated !!!!(I need to get back fishing soon)

    Thanks
    Mike Jensen

If you are happy with the current prop, then I do not recommend changing.

Ok, let me rephrase. You should replace the propeller with the same one you are removing with out change. The propeller is a 9pitch (9P).

          Part Number ?

Would you be able to give me a part number for the prop that will replace my ould one so I could place an order from you, I would appreciate it, the one I ordered before was wrong, I am now in the process of returning it so still need a replacement and would appreciate knowing what part number to order.
          Thanks
