new piston

I just put in a new piston in my mercury 115 and it feels very tight. When it is bottomed it takes two hands to move it until it comes up about a 1/4 way then I can use one hand. Should it be that tight I do not want to burm it up after all this work.

If there are no spark plugs in the motor then It should not be very hard. There will be some resistance until the new rings seat.
