Prop shaft removal and replacement

I have a '86-87? Mercury 20hp serial #0B253320. The prop shaft is bent and I have been told that the parts required for repair are a new prop shaft, inner and outer seal and O ring. Also, what is the easiest method of removing the shaft?

I recommend you purchase a service manual for this repair. You want to be sure its done properly. Yes the seals and propeller shaft should be all that is required, as long as nothing else was damaged.
