Correct parts for a 2005 6HP Charging Kit?

Can I assume that if my 2005 Mercury 6HP long Shaft does not have the rectifier, then it does not have the alternator as well. I ordered the rectifier kit, but wanted to make sure I had all the correct parts before I took the motor apart. Please advise.

Well if you have already ordered the Charging rectifier kit then you should only require the lighting coil kit.
