96 model 150 xr6 questions

had carbs rebuilt last yr,boat had been sitting.boat runs good, when i come in to load boat is hard to start,and wants to cut off while trying to load.mechanic says mercurys are like that. any sugestion on what to do. my ideas are to replace coil,temprature sensor, spark plug wires. any ideas on what to do,the only time it does it is after it has been run a while. I think it is probably something simple, but this is my first boat and i need some advice.

Doing carb and linkage syncronization as per service manual should take care of a hestition problem.
