Please Help With 1973 merc 850 85 hp-wiring

i bought a boat with the 1973 merc outboar and all the wiring inside is corroded. is it possible to replace the wire or must i buy the whole harness. i have enough good wire to splice into.

Boomer: This is an area that shouldn't be messed around with it is much better to replace the complete wireing harness then trying to splice it together!
