I have a 2006 Mercury 25hp four stroke. It's a 3 cyl with fuel injection. I replaced the cranking and trolling battery and did something very silly. When I hooked up the cranking battery, I installed the cables backwards. There was a brief spark and I knew right away I hooked the cables up backwards. Now the boat won't turn overwith the key but I can pull start it's. It runs fine once started and everything works well. The heavy battery cables
make a good ground and there's 12 volts to the starter. There just no signal being sent to the starterto crank. All the fuses are fine and the two circuit breakers in the battery cables agood. Is there something on the motor that I should be looking for?
